  Adamu Ahmed Erena has reaffirmed his dedication to the advancement of squash across Africa following his election as Vice President (West and Central Africa) of the Squash Federation of Africa (SFA). Ten finalists have emerged in the ongoing Eko Flavor Junior Competition, a school-based culinary contest organised by the Lagos State Government to promote food creativity among children aged 10 to 13. The competition, which began with over 350 entries, saw 20 young chefs shortlisted for the semi-finals.  The final 10 were selected during a keenly contested cook-off held at the Lagos Food Hub in Idi-Oro, Mushin on Friday. Eko Flavor Junior is a flagship initiative under the state’s food systems reform, designed to identify budding culinary talents and encourage healthy eating habits among children. Musiliu Obanikoro, has mourned former President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that Buhari had played his part.   The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Buhari died on Sunday in London during an illness. He was aged 82 years. Obanikoro said in an interview with NAN: “We are from God and to Him we shall return. “He played his part, first as a military officer, later as a military head of state and a civilian president. “My condolences to his family and loved ones.” Obanikoro, also a former Minister of State for Defence, prayed God to grant Buhari’s soul eternal rest. NAN reports that Buhari became Nigeria’s civilian President in 2025 after defeating incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan in the country’s presidential election.
