Christian clerics preach wellness, unity as potter house of Lagos embarks on walk for life

  Christian clerics on Saturday emphasised the importance of wellness , unity and positive citizenship as the Potter House of Lagos embarked on a five-kilometre fitness walk tagged “ Walk for Life ” in Lagos . The Resident Pastor of the Potter House of Lagos, Pastor Emmanuel Uzugbo , who led members of the congregation from Iponri to the National Stadium and back to Costain , said physical wellness was essential for effective service to God and humanity. Uzugbo said regular exercise, balanced diet and routine medical check-ups were critical to sustaining both spiritual and physical wellbeing, noting that believers must remain healthy to function optimally in society.  “Wellness is foundational to purpose. If you are not well, you cannot serve effectively in God’s house or contribute meaningfully to the nation,” he said. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Monday said that supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) remained a central pillar of his administration’s developmental agenda. The governor said that the sector drove productivity, job creation and long-term economic stability in the state and Nigeria as a whole. Sanwo-Olu spoke at the opening of the maiden Lagos MSMEs Exclusive and Eko Roundcity Trade Fair held at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. Lagos powers grassroots commerce with new Eko Fair highlighting MSMEs By Aderonke Ojediran  The Lagos State Government , Tuesday, announced the inaugural edition of the Lagos Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Exclusive and Eko Round City Trade Fair 1.0 ., to boost grassroots commerce. The Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Mrs Folashade Bada- Ambrose , disclosed this at a news conference in Lagos. She said that the event had been redesigned from the former Eko MSMEs Exclusive Trade Fair into a more inclusive commercial festival. She described it as a major step toward strengthening grassroots commerce, boosting inter-Local Government Area (LGA) collaboration and expanding opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises.
