Prioritise your mental health, media personality, Jideonwo, urges Nigerians

TV host and media entrepreneur, Chude Jideonwo, has urged Nigerians to prioritise their mental health. Jideonwo, in an Instagram post, said this while recalling his challenges, as he took a seat as a guest on a special edition of his show, #WithChude, in commemoration of his 25 years in media. LG autonomy needs more constitutional advocacy says SAN

  Constitution  A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Prof. Oladayo Amokaye, has advocated amendment of the 1999 Constitution to clearly define the status of local governments within the Nigerian federal system. Amokaye, who is a Professor of Private and Property Law, University of Lagos, made the call at the 20th Annual Adekunle Kukoyi Memorial Lecture, on Wednesday in Ikeja. The lecture had the topic: “Usurpation of Powers and Functions: A Case Study of Local Government Administration and Autonomy”. Amokaye said that the definition was crucial, adding that local governments only existed in principles. He said that constitutional amendment would help in removing ambiguities regarding local government creation, funding and responsibilities. This, he said, would establish a strong and effective third tier of government that would effectively serve the needs of Nigerians.   The Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi has formally expressed appreciation to a philanthropist, Dr (Mrs) Magdalene Agada for donating medical and surgical equipment, Fiberoptic Macintosh Laryngoscopes, worth millions of naira to it. Fiberoptic Macintosh Laryngoscopes are medical devices used for tracheal intubation, which involves inserting a tube into a patient's airway to establish a secure airway for ventilation. These laryngoscopes combine the traditional Macintosh blade design with fiberoptic technology, allowing for better visualization of the airway. They are used in various medical settings, including operating rooms for tracheal intubation during surgery; emergency departments for rapid sequence intubation in emergency situations, and intensive care units for airway management in critically ill patients. Sanwo-Olu reiterates commitment to build more infrastructure

Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment towards the delivery of quality infrastructure to improve lives of residents. The governor gave the reassurance at the inauguration of five strategic networks of roads at Ikeja Government Residential Area. The road networks include Oba Dosunmu Street, Oduduwa Way, Oduduwa Crescent, Sobo Arobiodu and Sasegbon Street, all measuring 6.13 kilometers.
