11th year remembrance : Group organises stage play in honour of Tinubu's mother

 In commomeration of the 11th year remembrance of Alhaja Abibat Mogaji, mother of President Bola Tinubu, a stage play titled 'Abibat Mogaji' was performed to celebrate her achievement in her life time.




Abibatu Mogaji’, a captivating stage play, was written by renowned play writer Prof. Ahmed Yerima, produced by former broadcaster Ola Awakan.



Come July 14, tickets available at the Glover Memorial Hall Lagos, this was contained in the statement signed by Mr Kayode Olopade, the Media Officer.


The stage play in Abuja held July 11 at the NAF Centre, which had the presence of Tinubu and his close associates.



One of the attendees Mr Stephen Adedayo, a former personal photographer of  president Tinubu and described the late President, Iyaloja -General of Nigeria, as a one in a million among women


Adedayo, who was among the guest that came for the remembrance ceremony of the late Iyaloja, made the pronouncement during an interview with pressmen in Lagos.


He described Alhaja  as a woman of remarkable achievements and a shining example of entrepreneurship, leadership, and community service.




Other attributes according to. Adedayo included, providing tireless support to her community, offering guidance, wisdom, and resources to those in need, among others.




 " Mama was a woman who believed in education and excellence, she encouraged her children and grandchildren to pursue their dreams and aspirations, not only that, she built bridges across cultural and religious divides, promoting understanding, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.




"She also demonstrated unwavering resilience and strength in the face of adversity, inspiring others with her courage and determination.



"I really miss Mama, because she did a lot for me when she was alive. May her soul continue to rest in perfect peace.", Adedayo said.


Adedayo remembered Alhaja Abibat Mogaji as a pillar of strength and wisdom, whose impact will continue to be felt for generations to come.


 "The remembrance ceremony was a testament to Alhaja Abibat Mogaji's enduring legacy, as friends, family, and well-wishers gathered to honor her memory and celebrate her remarkable life. Her influence will continue to inspire and motivate others, ensuring that her memory lives on as a blessing and a source of strength.", Adedayo said




He said the project was designed to inspire women and Nigerians at large through a tour of the play written by Prof Ahmed Yerima.
