NGO donates 100 chairs to Catholic Church
The Open Hands Amazing Charitable Organization has donated 100 chairs to the Catholic Church of the Archangels, Gaduwa/Durumi, Abuja.
The donation, which is valued at over N2 million, is aimed at supporting the growth of the church and providing comfort to its members during services.
According to the founder of the organisation, Dr Magdalene Agada, the donation is part of her organisation’s efforts to support the gospel of Jesus Christ and the growth of the church.
Agada, who is based in the United States, stated that her organisation has also been providing support to members of the church and other well-meaning Nigerians with various needs, including payment of house rents, tuition fees for students, and assistance in setting up businesses.
The organisation has also been involved in other philanthropic activities, including a recent food donation to over 1,000 people in the Ketu area of Lagos.
A beneficiary of the organisation’s philanthropic efforts, Mr Enoch Reuben, expressed his gratitude to Dr Agada and her organisation, stating that the support he received came at the right time and would go a long way in helping him.
"The money came at the right time and will go a long way in helping me. You have no idea how much of a lifesaver you are. You impact lives in ways you may not even realise. You are truly a rare gem," he said.
Agada has called on other well-meaning Nigerians to remember the less privileged, especially during the current period of economic hardship.
The donation of chairs to the Catholic Church of the Archangels is a testament to the Open Hands Amazing Charitable Organisation’s commitment to supporting the growth of the church and the less privileged in Nigeria.
