Onilude congratulates Tinubu, Hamzat on apc primary victories

Lagos, May 24, 20 The immediate past Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Dr Olusegun Onilude, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 general election.

Onilude also congratulated Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, on his emergence as the party’s gubernatorial flag bearer in Lagos State.

Speaking with journalists in Lagos on Sunday, Onilude described Tinubu’s victory at the APC presidential primary as a reflection of the confidence Nigerians and party members had in his leadership.

“I heartily congratulate our leader and President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his well-deserved emergence as the Presidential Candidate of the APC for the 2027 general election.

“His victory with over eleven million votes nationwide clearly shows the confidence party members and Nigerians have in his leadership and vision for the country,” he said.

The former council chairman assured the President of massive support from Badagry and Lagos State ahead of the general election.

“I want to assure Mr President that the people of Badagry and Lagos State in general remain fully committed to supporting him massively at the polls.

“We are ready to mobilise our people for another overwhelming victory for the APC,” Onilude said.

He also congratulated Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Hamzat on emerging as the party’s standard bearers in the state.

“I also congratulate Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, on their emergence as the party’s flag bearers in Lagos State.

“Their emergence is a reward for hard work, loyalty and dedication to the development of Lagos State,” he added.

Onilude further commended the leadership of the APC in Lagos State for ensuring peaceful and successful primaries across the state.

“I must commend the leadership of our great party in Lagos State, including Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, Pa Oluyole Olusi, Hon. James Faleke, and all members of the Governance Advisory Council for their steadfast commitment to the unity and progress of the APC in Lagos,” he said.

Onilude, who also emerged as the APC candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Badagry Federal Constituency, urged residents of the area to participate actively in the forthcoming elections.

“I urge all our people in Badagry to ensure their Permanent Voter Cards are intact and ready because we must deliver massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in the coming general election.

“Together, we will continue to move Badagry, Lagos and Nigeria forward,” he said.
