 Old students association elects new executive in Ogun





 The Ijebu Southern District Grammar School Old Students Association, Ala-Ijebu (ISDGSOSA), has elected a new national executive to steer the affairs of the association for the next two years.



The election was conducted during the association's National Executive Election held at the school hall in Ala-Ijebu, Ogun State.



According to a statement jointly signed by the National President, Mrs Adesimbo Peters, and the National Publicity Secretary, Prince Temitope Ogunbanke, members elected Mrs Peters as President, Mr Oladele Ogunnaike as First Vice President and Dr Yusuf Adebayo as Second Vice President.



Others elected are Chief Sunmola Alowonle as General Secretary, Mrs Oluwakemi Soyemi as Assistant General Secretary, Prince Temitope Ogunbanke as National Publicity Secretary, Mr Olawale Odunnaike as National Treasurer, Mrs Abisola Kolawole as Auditor I, Mrs Nuratu Adebogun as Auditor II, Alhaja Monsurat Lawal as National Financial Secretary and Mrs.

 Bolanle Balogun as National Social Secretary. In her acceptance remarks, Peters pledged that the new executive would work diligently to advance the association's objectives and contribute meaningfully to the development of the school.


"Our priority is to strengthen the unity of our association and provide purposeful leadership that will inspire every member.



"We are committed to giving back to our alma mater through improved infrastructure and initiatives that will support students to achieve academic excellence," she said.



Peters also assured members that the executive would pursue programmes that would deepen alumni participation and promote the continued growth of the association.



The Chairman of the ISDGSOSA National Electoral Committee, Chief Joseph Odufuwa, and the Secretary, Alhaji Rahmon Olusada, congratulated the newly elected officers, describing the outcome of the exercise as a reflection of the confidence reposed in them by delegates.



"The successful conduct of this election demonstrates the commitment of members to democratic values. 


"We congratulate the newly elected officers and urge them to justify the trust placed in them through dedicated and selfless service," the committee said.



The committee expressed confidence that the new leadership would build on the association's achievements and foster greater development of the school and its alumni community.
