Squash: Expros Diaspora ends amidst joy, tears, cheers

The 5th edition of the Expros Diaspora Squash Championships may have ended but the memories of the display of emotions by the budding superstars is unforgettable.
Every one present at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere could attest to the fact that these junior players U-11, U-13 and U-16 came prepared with impressive display of skills.
In the U-11 girls category, Suzan Balogun defeated Shetemi Adekunle 3-1, for the boys, Udo Favour won Wilson Imeobong 3-1.
It was a easy win for Grace Gana, she thrashed Khadijat Durosinlorun 3-0.
Call him fly boy because nothing explains Lanre Yusuf's playing style, even though the match between Mohammed Azim was retired at 2-1. Yusuf with more training and exposure will come back stronger.
The U-16 female finals was nothing short of impressive with the twist and turns, no soothsayer could have predicted who will take home the trophy between Zainab Ishola and Loveth Balogun.
Although Ishola won 3-2, it was one of the most unpredictable matches that held spectators spellbound.
It was a Lagos affair as Mathew Yusuf defeated Joshua Daniel 3-2, these boys didn't come to play, they both wanted the win and they certainly entertained their fans.
Kunle Adebiyi, the Secretary of the International Expros Diaspora Squash Association, described the players skills as world class potentials.
"This is an eye opener and a testimony to the fact that these young talents have what it takes to be world betters in the near future.
"We're grateful for all those who supported us, we need to do more and stay on business," he said.
